The Best PhD-Paper Award ECPPM 2012 now open for applications

The Best PhD-Paper award is given to the author of the best PhD-paper presented at ECPPM 2012 in Reykjavik Iceland, written solely or primarily by an author who is a full or part-time PhD student.

Mr. Leif Granholm, Senior Vice President at TEKLA to deliver a keynote speech at the ECPPM 2012

Mr.Leif Granholm has been involved with the development of modelling and BIM related software since 1979. Leif has been a strong advocate of openBIM and serves as Tekla’s strategic level representative in BuildingSMART. He also serves as the Technical Director of buildingSMART Middle East and is a member of buildingSMART technical management committee.

Deadline for Full papers changed to 27.3.2012


Due to the number of papers received and stringent delivery date for the manuscript of the proceedings to the publisher. We are required to move the deadline for the final paper to 27.3.2012.

Over 170 abstracts received for evaluation

The International Scientific Committee is now evaluating submitted abstracts for scientific quality, originality and conference relevance. We hope that all evaluations will be finished by 1st of February as aimed for. Authors will be notified by e-mail when the Submission Service will re-open. At which time author can see evaluation results and submit the final paper.

Dr. Bill East to deliver a keynote speech at the ECPPM 2012

Dr. East is recognized worldwide for his contributions and advancement of Building Information Modelling Exchange standards. His work include Construction Operations Building information Exchange (COBie) and Specifier's Properties information exchange (SPie). Dr. East has received numerous awards for his achievements in research and development in his field.

EasyJet, the UK’s largest airline will operate a new route from London Luton Airport to Reykjavik in Iceland.

The inaugural flight will take off from London Luton Airport on 27 March 2012 operating three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.
